Live Event Wedding Painting
On Saturday, June 15, I had the wonderful opportunity to paint live at a wedding at the Allan House in Austin, TX for a lovely couple. I arrived several hours before the wedding started, and painted in the background. I did the finishing touches during the ceremony and reception. It took me about 4 1/2 hours to do the completed painting. It was a beautiful wedding, coordinated by Pearl Events Austin.
I love the energy of painting live and also the pressure to produce a beautiful final product. I think the painting came out great and I am so pleased with it!

Live Painting at the Boerne Art Fest
I painted this car from a reference photo that I took with my i phone. The sun was shining just right on the trunk of the car, and I knew I had to paint it. I painted this painting live at the Boerne Art Fest. The energy of live painting is so fun.

Son Of San
I have a painting currently on display at Painting with a Twist Northwest. They are doing a great promotion for Fiesta, and an opportunity for me to earn $1000 for my school's art program. If you are in the area, stop by and vote for my painting. The painting will be for sale after the contest. It is 16" x 20" acrylic on canvas.

1957 Chevy
I painted this 1957 Chevy at a live painting event, "Artist's at Work". It was held at the Singing Waters Vineyards in Comfort, TX. I did an underpainting in yellow and did a preliminary drawing, and then painted the car from a reference photo that I had taken on my iphone. The painting is 20" x 30" acrylic on canvas. From this painting, I have had several people ask me to do paintings of their car or truck! The Picture above was taken outside in natural light. The picture below is my painting hanging at The Point Park and Eats. It is for sale.

Eric's Kicks
This painting was started at a district training session for the school district I work for. I am so fortunate to work for such a great district. The shoes were my instructor's. He set up a pile of shoes as a still life. This is an acrylic painting on a 16 X 20 canvas panel board. I am really pleased with the values on this one.
